QUOTES FROM COACHES that I got from John Maxwell’s newsletter

“Teamwork is what makes common people capable of uncommon results.”

~ Pat Summitt

“It is amazing how much can be accomplished if no one cares who gets the credit.”

~ John Wooden

“Every leader needs to remember that a healthy respect for authority takes time to develop. It’s like building trust. You don’t instantly have trust, it has to be earned.”

~ Mike Krzyzewski

“Appreciation is the currency of success.”

~ Shaka Smart (a favorite quote he attributes to his wife, Maya)

“If you’re going to make every game a matter of life or death, you’re going to have a lot of problems. For one thing, you’ll be dead a lot.”

~ Dean Smith

I bargained with Life for a penny,
And Life would pay no more,
However I begged at evening
When I counted my scanty store;
For Life is a just employer,
He gives you what you ask,
But once you have set the wages,
Why, you must bear the task.
I worked for a menial’s hire,
Only to learn, dismayed,
That any wage I had asked of Life,
Life would have paid.

When we are debating an issue, loyalty means giving me your honest opinion, whether you think I’ll like it or not. Disagreement, at this stage, stimulates me. But once a decision has been made, the debate ends. From that point on, loyalty means executing the decision as if it were your own.”

~ General Colin Powell

“Very few big executives want to be surrounded by ‘yes’ men. Their greatest weakness often is the fact that ‘yes’ men build up around the executive a wall of fiction, when what the executive wants most of all is plain facts.”

Positive thinking cannot guarantee success but it gives the best chance to try. Let’s assume that you are flying in a airplane and heading towards the beautiful island of Hawaii. The pilot found out that the engine has failed. Of course the pilot is afraid but there are 2 ways in which the pilot may react.

Gets so much afraid that starts running down and up the aisle in the plane shouting we gonna die- we gonna die….

OR

Believes that (s)he has a best chance to make it if (s)he tries as per the best ability to land it somewhere. just like Deniece De Priester

Which plane you would like to be in, definitely I will go for the later one because this pilot believe in the power of positive thinking and would like to give his/her best instead of just not trying anything.

This is a difference that the power of positive thinking can make. Definitely positive thinking cannot guarantee success but it gives the best chance to try. Hence you will find that most of the successful people fall in this category of people who believe in positive thinking but they back it up with firm action. They believe in positive thinking and have a unique ability to fail again and again until they make it.

While working on mobile strategy a very common question that hits our mind is if we should go for a mobile app or a HTML 5 website etc. Please donot take a decision to go for a mobile app because you want one the coolest thing of this time in your list of great possessions. We must spend enough time to define the need and objectives which can lead us to choose between Responsive website or Mobile Website or Mobile App.

Here is a post from Texas A&M University where they have very well stated their mobile statement and recommendation for mobile strategy – Responsive website vs Mobile Website vs Mobile App.

Here is the comparison Responsive website vs Mobile Website vs Mobile App:
